Guest Reviews & Ratings
The hotel had a fairly good selection of equipment in the room with a view of the Potomac, but it was extremely noisy being right under the railroad. The service was very helpful and courteous, taking their time to assist. The location was convenient for sightseeing but lacked food options nearby. The dining experience was poor for a Mandarin Oriental Hotel, with limited options and high prices.
I had a delightful stay at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a powerful shower and luxurious bedding, although I missed having a mini fridge or microwave for convenience. The service was exceptional, with attentive and professional staff, although there was a minor issue with some staff acting distrusting in the pool area. The location was superb, conveniently situated between the National Mall and the lively Wharf area. However, the dining options were limited and slightly overpriced. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor drawbacks.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were incredibly clean and classy, providing a comfortable environment. However, I felt that some modern amenities like a coffee maker or microwave were missing, indicating a need for modernization. The service was top-notch, with staff addressing me by name, although there was a slight delay in responsiveness. The location was extremely convenient, within walking distance of key attractions like the National Mall and close to the metro station. The dining experience was fantastic, especially the creative juices and smoothies, though the options lacked accommodation for dietary restrictions. Overall, a great stay marred only by some room shortcomings.
The hotel is quite spacious and not too far from sightseeing spots, making it a recommendation despite a delay in room readiness upon my late arrival at 9 PM. The service across all departments, from the front desk to dining, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming without being overbearing. The location was perfect for sightseeing around The Mall area and within walking distance of key attractions like Thomas Jefferson park and the seafood market. The dining experience was extremely underwhelming, offering limited options and not accommodating dietary restrictions.
